JESSIA’s new single “Moved Around You” was released on March 28 and has already captivated listeners. The two-minute song combines moving lyrics, unique vocals, and mesmerizing melodies into one amazing track. JESSIA keeps coming back with incredible work and “Moved Around You” is a big show of her talent.
Canadian singer-songwriter Jessika Harling, better known as JESSIA, has been releasing music since 2020, with the song “Tell Me”, including the viral hit “I’m Not Pretty.” Winning a Juno Award in 2022 for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, JESSIA hasn't stopped creating music and pushing herself as an artist.
The lyrics of her song explore sticking by how strongly one cares for a person and a relationship, even when they didn’t give the same back and acted like you were doing too much. JESSIA’s lyrics are great at making any listener feel like they’re experiencing this relationship firsthand, sharing all the emotions with the singer.

“I’m not crazy if I’m crying / Trying to forget you feels like dying / I’m not crazy if I’m crying / Had no label but it was something,” JESSIA sings in the bridge, a great example of her intense storytelling. Another line sticks out from the chorus: “I’m not embarrassed or stupid for falling apart.” This piece feels like JESSIA is almost proud of herself for reacting the way she did because she felt so intensely about the relationship she’s writing about.
JESSIA’s vocals are always exceptional, but are especially prominent in “Moved Around You,” setting her apart from everyone else. The way she sings her heart out throughout the song draws the listener in to truly absorb what she’s trying to get across to her audience. The majority of the track contains more direct vocals, where JESSIA is singing from her chest with strong conviction right to the ear, and then later on she falls into a softer sound for the bridge. By the end of the track, she brings out more emotion. This passion weaved into the punching lyrics really hits home, creating a powerful, cohesive track.
