Whether they’re playing a hometown show in Ireland, an acoustic set accompanied by a full orchestra, or playing thousands of miles from home in Columbus, Ohio, the sibling duo of Steph and Paul O’Sullivan give 100% of themselves to every performance.

Greywind has embarked on their first U.S. headlining tour in between the first and second legs of the Emo Orchestra tour starting back up on Oct. 31. This Irish emo powerhouse has been working nonstop since their most recent album Severed Heart City was released in January of this year, and they have no plans to slow down any time soon.
Joining them in Columbus were two opening acts — Rodeo and Truss. Rodeo started the night off right, looking like seasoned professionals despite this being their first tour together as a band. Alfonso Cervantes, Anthony Puglis and Dan Quigley traded instruments and vocal lines smoothly between the trio through their set to create a unique experience for each song.
Truss immediately had the audience hooked as Hannah Crandall’s hard-hitting vocals got everyone in the crowd jumping. The fan participation felt easy, getting the crowd to sing their parts back to them like they’ve known the songs their whole lives. This Cleveland-based band wasn’t too far from home for this show unlike their headlining counterpart, but neither felt out of place on this stage.

The crowd was buzzing, eagerly anticipating the main event of the night. Greywind has a knack for storytelling through their set, and this night was no different. Their entire performance felt like a journey, and the fans inside the Ace of Cups were enthusiastically along for the ride. The O’Sullivan duo are able to bring the songs new life when they play them live, interacting with the crowd and adding theatrics between songs effortlessly. The setlist was packed with heavy hitters like “You’re My Medicine,” “I.K.A.M.F.” and “Waterfall.” Even when the crowd got their phone lights out and swayed to the beginning of “In Autumn,” the track quickly transformed as the band joined back in for a dynamic ending.
From Killarney, Ireland to wherever they want to go next, this band is only growing from here and has fans from all over the world cheering them on with every new endeavor they embark on.

While fans waited anxiously outside and soundcheck was in full swing, Crave was able to catch up with the sibling duo before they took the stage in Columbus.
CRAVE: For people that might not be familiar with your music, could you describe it in three words?
PAUL: We can do it in two: Irish emo.
STEPH: I was going to say cinematic.
CRAVE: That’s a great third one. You were also just on tour with the Emo Orchestra. How has that been different from a normal tour for you guys?
STEPH: It was so much more relaxed. We’re playing it acoustically, so everything was so different to what we usually do. Even the soundcheck was more relaxed, we’re used to it being loud with heavy guitars and drums.
PAUL: But you have to be more on top of your game because it’s just you and the acoustic guitar and a vocal, so if you make a single mistake, everyone knows. We were always wanting to put on the best show ever, and the reaction we had from that tour was incredible.
STEPH: Yeah, we keep our energy. We didn’t want it to be like a boring acoustic set, you know? But it’s not a normal acoustic set, I’m running around the place.
PAUL: It’s nice to be back playing with the full band for this tour as well. We have the second leg of that coming up this month so we can’t wait.

CRAVE: What are your favorite American foods that you like to get when you’re here that you can’t get when you’re home?
PAUL: Buc-ee’s! The chopped brisket at Buc-ee’s is incredible.
STEPH: Panda Express, which we just had today.
PAUL: In-N-Out burger is a classic, and Chipotle.
CRAVE: You don’t have chipotle?
PAUL: No. We just have potatoes and that’s it.
STEPH: Anything American we get excited about. Ooh, the Nerds Gummy Clusters — we’ve only just got them in Ireland but they’re amazing.
CRAVE: If you guys could play at any venue in the whole world, what is your dream venue?
PAUL: Red Rocks. I think that’s one of our biggest ambitions for our music. We’ve always created this cinematic kind of music and we feel like that stage would be built for our music.
STEPH: The Hollywood Bowl is one that I’ve been like ooh, I want that.
PAUL: Yeah, hopefully we’re working towards that.
CRAVE: It has been almost ten months since your latest album Severed Heart City was released. What song has surprised you the most from that album after performing it live and getting the crowd reception towards it?
PAUL: I think “Make Believe.” We debuted that live in July at a festival and people opened up a pit immediately and we were shocked, it was the first time we ever played it. So yeah, that’s been going down amazingly well.
CRAVE: Do you get the urge to write or create while you’re on tour in a lot of different places or do you like the familiarity of being at home for your creative process?
STEPH: For me at home, I think. Even though there was one new song that we wrote in Perth, Scotland right before the Waterparks tour, actually. That was just a rough little idea we had. That was pre-tour as well, though. But on tour, I feel like we’re so in tour mode it’s harder to write and be creative.
PAUL: Yeah, when there’s so much noise going on and then you’re like, what time’s loading? Where is my Panda Express? I want to sleep. If we were in a tour bus and had a lot of time during the day maybe.
STEPH: Yeah, right now we’re in a van with seven people and everyone is just so tired.

CRAVE: Definitely. Do you have a specific tour routine that you like to do or do you just go with the flow?
STEPH: Sleep as much as possible. Eat as healthy as I can, which is so hard but I try. Today I got vegetables with my Panda Express — a piece of broccoli is like the best moment of my day so far.
PAUL: I’ve only had one Monster today. I’m doing great.
CRAVE: 2026 has been an incredible year for you guys and very busy as well. Do you have a specific goal that you’re looking towards for 2027?
PAUL: Just tour even more and reach new places and new countries that we’ve never been to. We’d love to get to Japan and Australia for the first time, and I’m excited even for later this year going to new places in the US that we’ve never been to before. We’re so excited to keep touring and for our next year.
CRAVE: Do you have anything else coming up that you want to talk about or want to shout out?
PAUL: Yeah, so we have the final seven days of this tour, and then on Oct. 31 we have the second leg of Emo Orchestra up until Dec.r 16. So if you’re reading this, go and check that out.
