Riding the success of their two-time Grammy nomination and growing fanbase around the world, global girl group KATSEYE have announced their third EP, Wild , out Aug. 14. In addition to record, KATSEYE has created a theatrical release, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, coming to select theaters on Aug. 12.
Most notably from the popular Netflix documentary Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, which followed twenty trainees in the Dream Academy program as they competed against each other to earn a spot in the final lineup of Hybe x Geffen’s newest girl group. After years of intense training, friendships, learning and growing, the final six lineup was born. Consisting of members Manon Bannerman, Jeung Yoonchae, Sophia Laforteza, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini and Lara Raj, KATSEYE captured the hearts of millions — many of whom watched the group’s formation from the beginning. Earning global success across K-pop and Western audiences, KATSEYE was set to become music’s next biggest thing.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS takes us into the heart of the group, the EYEKONS. Nicknamed “a love letter to the eyekons,” this film puts their fanbase directly at the forefront. Sharing behind-the-scenes footage, fan videos, member interviews and much more, the film is KATSEYE’s love letter to their fans — a celebration of their new era and the community that made it all possible. It’s a sweet and sentimental piece, the girls sharing their gratitude for the progress they have made in their journey.
KATSEYE are always on the move – and there is no stopping them anytime soon. Following the release of their new EP, the current five-member ensemble will embark on THE WILDWORLD TOUR, hitting the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Europe.
