Lolitslea is leading the neon pop-punk revival with her signature blue and green colored charm. The Jersey Shore-based artist officially announced that her highly-anticipated sophomore album, RollerCoaster Tycoon, will be released on September 15. Pre-order/pre-save the album here.
Alongside the news, lolitslea also returned with her latest single, “BURNOUT!! BURNOUT!!” The energetic effort details the chaos of pursuing a career in music while still relying on a typical 9-5 job to survive. Its urgent, fast-paced instrumental mimics the constant motion of life as she finds herself caught in the space between needing to recharge and having no time to even think about it. “BURNOUT!! BURNOUT!!” is a vibrant anthem for anyone who continues to chase their dreams despite the overwhelming demand of adulthood.
RollerCoaster Tycoon builds upon the bold confidence of lolitslea’s past projects with a reimagined, brighter edge. The 17-track record takes her vivid storytelling and transforms it into an immersive world inspired by the beloved Y2K video game. The album also includes collaborations with Glitch Gum, K Enagonio, and Jack The Underdog, as well as songwriting features from Cassadee Pope and Tony Pietrafesa.
Speaking on the album, lolitslea shares, “RollerCoaster Tycoon is not only an iconic computer game from the early 2000s, it’s a way of life. If I had to describe my life’s anthem or pick a “soundtrack to my life,” this would be it, I wrote it! Life is a rollercoaster (cliche). You can become a part of my chaos, but if you can’t handle it, there’s the door!”
Lolitslea is set to play a few shows this summer, including North By Northeast NXNE in Toronto, Shoreline Summer Festival in Connecticut, and a hometown show supporting Secondhand Serenade in Asbury Park. Tickets and more information for these upcoming dates can be found here.
