Thousands of Philadelphians spent the night at the bottom of Ashnikko’s purse, alongside her random assortment of trinkets and snacks diving deep into the Smoochie World of a Smoochie Girl.

Ashnikko has always been in a genre of her own, combining her musical stylings with physical and digital arts. Ever since her first release on SoundCloud in 2016, she has had a unique way of expressing her love for the alt-pop and hiphop world. Her third EP Hi, Its Me was released in 2019 and featured her breakout track “STUPID” featuring Yung Baby Tate. “Stupid” took over on social media, becoming a top track on TikTok and putting eyes on her from all across the globe. In 2021 she released her first mixtape which contains songs like “Cry,” “Slumber Party (Featuring Princess Nokia)” and “Daisy.” Those tracks took the star to the next level, harnessing a fanbase that has dedicated their time to creating mind-blowing fashion pieces and art. Her debut album Weedkiller gave us songs like “You Make Me Sick!” and “Cheerleader” which were released alongside music videos that break artistic boundaries from what many artists are doing today.
From uniquely choreographed routines to unsettling images, Ashnikko is not afraid to go against the norms. Gaining notoriety from singles like “Paint The Town Blue” from the gaming series Arcane, she took time to lay low and create what is now her 2025 record Smoochies.
The Smoochie Tour brings Ashnikko’s Smoochies to life effortlessly. Philadelphia had been awaiting the energy powerhouse’s return since the Weedkiller Tour in 2023, and the energy in the room proved The City of Brotherly Love knows how to show up and show out.

The sold out night at The Fillmore began with incredible performances from googly eyes and Royal and The Serpent. googly eyes was up first, and was an absolute joy to watch. The singer sported a wide smile throughout her entire set; nothing could have taken it away from her. Matched with her positivity, googly eyes’ voice was powerful and commanded your attention the moment it ran through your ears.
Royal and The Serpent compelled the audience the second she walked on stage. The way that Ryan Jillian Santiago moves her body onstage only enhances the music even more. Flowing across the stage with ease, her confidence was not missed throughout the entire performance. Both openers warmed the already excited crowd up, the room buzzing waiting for the main act to take the stage.
The lights dimmed and the crowd locked in, whipping their heads directly to the stage awaiting Ashinkko’s arrival. The set design took up the entire stage, portraying what would be the inside of Ashnikko’s purse. There were signs on stage alluding to songs like “I Want My Boyfriends To Kiss” and “Full Frontal” as the stage floor completely changed into a pink checker board, adding that extra level of immersion to the show. The crowd heard Ashnikko’s voice coming from the speakers, but we didn’t see her until it was insinuated that she had fallen down into her purse and landed here, with all of Philadelphia eager to see Smoochies brought to life.

Ashnikko crawled out of the tiny door in the center of the stage and the crowd lost their minds. The star opened up the night with her track “Sticky Fingers” and the audience knew every last word and watched in awe as their favorite artist twirled and danced onstage alongside her two beyond talented dancers who accompanied her throughout the night.
It was obvious how excited Ashnikko was to interact with the crowd and talk to the fans who were dressed to the nines. The room was filled with handmade outfits that were derived from trinkets including food, toys and electronics; you name it, and someone was wearing it. Fans even added on trinkets throughout the night, as each show of the tour had a “trinket swap” for fans to come together and exchange pieces. She couldn’t stop picking out people from the crowd and dissecting their work, asking many to pass up items they had made.
Members of the audience were chosen as winners of hat contests and the big award of the night, which is The Smoochie Girl crown. Ashnikko shared how special and immersive the Smoochies album cycle has been for her, thanking everyone in the room for diving into her art as much as they have. She mentioned how she wishes to continue to explore the world of Smoochies in her next album, and the fans lost their minds over the new information.

The theatrical night moved along with zero energy being lost; it was almost impossible to remember a moment where the crowd wasn’t dancing. The room shook from the constant movement and roar of the crowd. The sight of 2,500 people waving their arms back and forth to the song “Manners” and the sight of the entire crowd jumping at once to “I Want My Boyfriends To Kiss” was truly a sight to see.
Ashnikko, of course, performed songs from her most recent album, but did not forget to show love to older fan favorites such as “invitation,” “STUPID” and “Tantrum.” Ashnikko and her dancers performed choreography that is anything but conventional. From contorting her body over her dancers to ballet style moves, you never knew what was coming next. Prop after prop being brought out including a trinket box, weapons and a makeup vanity. Even a full recreation of a lobotomy was performed.
The night closed out with a grand performance of “Daisy.” Ashnikko and her dancers gave their all and the crowd reciprocated. The lyrics shook through the music hall:
“I’m crazy, but you like that, I bite back / Daisies on your nightstand, never forget it / I blossom in the moonlight, screw eyes / Glacial with the blue ice, I’m terrifying“
We cannot wait to see what crazy unconventional thing Ashnikko does next. Keep up with her on Social Media below
