Honey Revenge is fed up with being the target of hurtful gossip on their new, sharp-tongued single, “Run Your Mouth.”
The LA-based duo has become a defining voice in the modern pop-rock scene since their debut album, Retrovision, gained significant attention in 2023. Vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd continue to defy the limitations of genres with every release — crafting a vibrant sound that’s completely irreplicable.
“Run Your Mouth” is an addictive anthem for anyone who’s ever been the subject of rumors and gossip after breaking things off with a close friend. The track uses the pair’s clever songwriting to deal with the frustration that surfaces when trust turns into betrayal. Papadol adopts a playfully bitter attitude as the chorus cuts through: “Wish that you would shut up / I got fingers in my ears going la, la, la.” This animosity between the two ex-friends continues as she further bites back with, “I guess I finally know now why you end up alone / Hang up your friends like a phone,” in the second verse.
Speaking on the track, Papadol shares:
“Friend breakups hurt more than romantic ones and I’ll die on that hill. There’s nothing worse than finding out someone you were once so close with is running their mouth about you. ‘Run Your Mouth’ expands on the age-old experience of the rumor mill, and how much it hurts to be the topic of gossip. Sometimes the only real solution to being badmouthed is to tell everyone to shut up!”

The new single channels Honey Revenge’s signature pop-rock groove with a matured precision.
“Run Your Mouth” is driven by a sharper, more powerful flow that highlights the duo’s sonic evolution with soaring guitars and explosive drums. Lloyd’s skill really shines toward the finish line as they deliver a killer guitar solo that elevates the song’s production right before the final chorus.
Honey Revenge is heading back to the classroom this summer for the junior year of the Idobi Radio Summer School Tour alongside Chase Petra, Winona Fighter, South Arcade and Games We Play. The 25-date U.S. run begins on June 19 in San Diego, CA, and finishes on July 25 in partnership with Vans Warped Tour for its Long Beach, CA, date.
