Leanna Firestone is going back to her Nashville roots with new single, “Town Ain’t Big Enough,” that screams karaoke at a country bar. Calling herself “Leanna Montana” on Instagram, Firestone has introduced a must-hear country-pop vibe for the girls — especially those fresh out of a relationship.
On the quest to release her newly announced album The Answer, out on May 15, Firestone is showing off her wide range of genres with her singles. Her first single from The Answer “Victory Lap” showcases her classic pop style but “Town Ain’t Big Enough” has that authentic Tennessee southern charm.
The title itself is a reference to every cowboy movie ever. “This town ain’t big enough for both of us” has been referenced by almost every piece of media at some point, showcasing the stakes she feels like she’s at because of her being stuck in the same city as her ex.
The vocal layering on this track makes listeners feel like they’re on the stage with her singing their heart out. “Town Ain’t Big Enough” feels like experiencing a live band at your favorite bar, mixed with the teen-spirited jamming with your best friends at a sleepover — an eclectic, yet perfect combination for a country-pop break-up anthem. The back and forth of Firestone’s full and echoing vocals gives the listener a sonically interesting track that makes you want to play it over and over again.
Firestone’s lyrics are always a treat of well-thought out verses and humorous lines. The bridge of “Town Ain’t Big Enough” are the lines that she promoted to announce the track, and it’s definitely a stand-out:
“I heard you’re out there kissing babies, waving to the masses / Winning the I don’t give a fuck war on the dating apps and / I haven’t touched anyone but myself since it happened / I’m overcompensating / I would not recommend that”
These lines showcase how unbalanced the end of the relationship feels, diving into why she feels as though she needs to get out as fast as possible, when her lease is up.
After hearing both of her singles, it’s already clear her upcoming album The Answer is going to be a terrific blend of all of Firestone’s best genres mixed into one great project, the answer to what everyone’s been missing in music.

Leanna Firestone’s tour begins in less than two months, and The Answer out in less than one.
