RKS is made up of Ela Melo (lead vocals), Darrick Keller (guitar and backing vocals), Ethan Goodpaster (lead guitar and vocals) and Jess Haney (drums). The band stopped in Houston, Texas, for their sold-out show at the White Oak Music Hall Lawn on March 22. The Bones North American Tour is in support of their album Bones, which was released in 2025. Fans have long awaited the band’s return to Houston since their last visit in 2024 for their Love Hate Music Box Tour.

When the band stepped on stage, the crowd erupted in cheers as they opened with “Hell Nah,” a song from their latest album. The harmonies sounded clear and blended seamlessly throughout the entire show while maintaining the same upbeat energy. The vocals carried powerfully in a live environment. The set continued with favorites like “Devil Like Me,” “Drop Stop Roll” and “All’s Well That Ends.” Behind the musicians, the colorful lights bounced off the fog, illuminating the stage. The band members are puzzle pieces that fit together to create a cohesive sound. This strong musical bond shines through on stage, on their faces and through their vocals. It is evident that the group is truly grateful to live out their dream, which they expressed to the crowd between songs. The band’s stage presence is electric as they danced around the stage in a way that feels exhilarating and dynamic.

The energy in the crowd was vibrant. Groups of friends danced and sang to each other and loved ones held each other close. Fans were jumping, singing and holding their drinks in the air as they sang along to the music. Toward the end of the show, the band came together to perform three acoustic, folk-driven renditions of their songs. Their strong vocals blended effortlessly, showcasing their musical talent. This portion of the show created an intimate moment of connection with the crowd. The band and the crowd sang in unison, creating a strong sense of community. The set continued with four more songs, “When It Lands,” “Run,” “100 Summers” and “That’s My Shit,” before they thanked the crowd and left the stage.

The group left the stage as the crowd chanted, “One more song!” RKS came back for a two-song encore, “Tropics” and “It’s Called: Freefall.” The show ended with cheers erupting from the crowd. RKS consistently puts on an excellent show. The energy is always high, and the vocals are even more spectacular than on the recorded tracks. The Bones Tour is continuing with multiple dates across North America.
