Built with a mission to promote artist development, community, ticket affordability and social impact, the idobi Radio Summer School Tour is ready for its junior year. The touring festival was launched in 2024 by industry veterans Michael Kaminsky (KMGMT), Eric Tobin (Hopeless Records) and Kevin Lyman (Vans Warped Tour) after noticing an overbearing absence of spaces for emerging artists and young fans in live entertainment that won’t break the bank. The purpose of Summer School was designed with the growth and visibility of the next generation of the alternative scene in mind — all at the low price of $35.
Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Winona Fighter, Games We Play and Chase Petra make up this year’s eclectic roster of artists. Not only does this lineup feature some of modern alternative’s most exciting up-and-comers, but it also highlights predominantly female-fronted bands. In a festival landscape that often heavily lacks representation for female musicians, it’s extraordinarily refreshing to see this many women at the forefront of such a blossoming cultural effort.
The 25-date run begins on June 19 in San Diego, CA, and will travel to major cities such as New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and more. The tour finishes on July 25 in partnership with Vans Warped Tour for its Long Beach, CA, date.

If you haven’t already familiarized yourself with Summer School’s class of 2026, now’s your chance to grab some flashcards and get to studying.
CHASE PETRA
Chase Petra has always sought out to answer life’s most existential questions through cathartic storytelling and relentless energy. The Long Beach trio blends melodic indie-rock with 2000s pop-punk influences to define their “quarter-life-crisis-pop” attitude. Consisting of vocalist Hunter Allen, drummer Evan Schaid and bassist Brooke Dickson, Chase Petra’s commitment to deep introspection and cinematic instrumentals continues to be their strongest asset. Their sophomore album, Lullabies For Dogs, is a vulnerable effort that grapples with the universal confusion of navigating adulthood across 13 hard-hitting tracks. The record, which was released in March 2025, reintroduced the intricate details of the trio’s identity and cemented them as an act to keep your eye on. Their most recent singles, “Famous” and “We Were Friends,” offered a glimpse into their evolving musicality, proving that you can never expect to see the same thing from Chase Petra twice.

GAMES WE PLAY
Since rising to fame through a series of viral TikTok videos in 2021, Games We Play has never been afraid to candidly show the ups and downs of his personal life through musical commentary. The singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer (also known as Emmyn Calleiro) spent a good chunk of his childhood idolizing Blink-182 before kickstarting his own pop-punk career in 2018. His breakthrough EP Get A Job and debut album Life’s Going Great opened numerous doors for Calleiro, allowing the budding artist to share stages with the likes of Fall Out Boy, The Band CAMINO and more over the years. Now, Games We Play is currently gearing up for a brand new era that prioritizes the importance of his family and artistry, with his upcoming single “Is This What I’m Made Of” set to release on March 8.

WINONA FIGHTER
Winona Fighter may not be your friend or your real dad, but they are the future of punk. The Nashville trio’s revolutionary debut album, My Apologies To The Chef, is the perfect embodiment of searing rage and frustration that deserves three Michelin stars. Led by frontwoman/multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon, bassist/producer Austin Luther and guitarist Dan Fuson, the band celebrated an immense breakthrough last year with the success of their first record, non-stop touring and appearances at massive music festivals including Vans Warped Tour and Slam Dunk. The spirit of punk is alive and thriving with their outspoken, cutthroat attitude and raw authenticity living at the core of who they are as artists and individuals. Winona Fighter is definitely the rowdiest of this year’s class, with a live presence that immediately commands all attention once they step on stage.
Recommended Tracks: “I’M IN THE MARKET TO PLEASE NO ONE,” “Wlbrn St Tvrn,” “Swear To God That I’m (FINE)”

SOUTH ARCADE
South Arcade has quickly made a name for themselves with their Y2K-inspired aesthetics and surging TikTok virality. Hailing from the United Kingdom, the female-led four-piece is redefining the boundaries of modern alternative rock with a sickeningly nostalgic flair. Vocalist Harmony Cavelle, guitarist Harry Winks, bassist Ollie Green and drummer Cody Jones formed the band in 2021 and have since accumulated a handful of singles and EPs under their belt, including the explosive PLAY! EP last November. The band consistently blends together an impressive mix of genres such as pop-punk, alt-rock, electronic, nu-metal and more to create a soundscape that’s entirely their own. With 1.3 million listeners and counting, South Arcade continues to ride the momentum of their breakout success with no signs of slowing down.

HONEY REVENGE
The world moves fast, but Honey Revenge moves faster. Consisting of vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd, the killer pop-rock duo gained significant popularity in 2023 with the release of their debut album, Retrovision. Their latest efforts see the pair stepping into their most confident and experimental era yet, with “Risk,” “Poison Apple Baby” and “Hot Commodity” each showcasing a different side of their skills. From groovy basslines to deadly metalcore-inspired breakdowns, Honey Revenge is pushing the limits of their sound while embracing their individuality and authenticity. When they’re not in the studio, the pair continuously charms audiences worldwide with their captivating live presence and ability to command any stage beneath them with ease. After being a part of Summer School’s inaugural freshmen class two years ago, Honey Revenge now graduates from previous opener to this year’s headliner.
