2025 has been a record breaking year for actor and musician Joe Keery. He reunited with Post Animal for their fourth studio album Iron, released two 12-track albums (The Crux and The Crux Deluxe) under Djo and embarked on the massive Back On You world tour with both bands. Before The Crux era came to an end, Keery found himself on the road again with the boys in Post Animal and Djo for the Another Bite Tour, a quick 15-show run.

The following details my experience during the final five shows of Djo’s Another Bite tour (or Djour, as we call it)
Show #1: October 15th
On Wednesday morning, the line in front of the Arizona Financial Theatre started as early as 3am. Despite the camping and sleep deprivation, my friends and I were running on purely adrenaline. To help pass the time, bracelets, photo cards and pins were being passed around, while I was assembling an obnoxious amount of flags to hand out.
The energy on the right side of the barricade was palpable, dare I say infectious. The boys were visibly excited, almost giddy, to be back in Phoenix, which Joe echoed in his speech before Charlie’s Garden. Javi Reyes (Post Animal/Djo) eagerly jumped in the photo pit in front of me during his guitar solos, while Joe was smiling ear-to-ear serenading the crowd. I had walked out of the venue running completely on adrenaline, completely blown away by what we had experienced.
Show #2: October 17th
One short flight later, I was in my hometown of Sacramento, CA. Although Channel 24 was the most intimate show, my group agreed to camp again to get barricade together. Unfortunately, coming from Arizona, we were not thoroughly prepared enough for the brisk Sacramento air. The line started roughly around 2am, with my friends and I huddled together on the sidewalk, sharing blankets. To distract ourselves from the cold, we took turns sleeping and walking around to keep warm. Eventually, Djour gifts (Djifts) were being passed around and friends were meeting for the first time.
Once again, our group was towards the right side of the barricade, in front of Javi. After Djo played Back On You, I threw my “I Heart The Gentlemen of My Life” t-shirt on stage, which Javi happily caught and wore. Joe proceeded to read and react to it during the encore, eagerly explaining it to the crowd, which took me by surprise. Javi also left with one of my flags, which the crowd cheered over.
Show #3: October 18th
The next morning, my friend and I hopped on a train to Berkeley, CA to prepare for our night at The Greek Theatre. This night would be the first time that our entire friend group would be meeting and spending time together, so it was much anticipated. The plan was to take a break from camping, be towards the back of the pit and exert as much energy as possible, which was successful. There was a moment where we were so loud during Pie in The Sky that Javi saw us and pointed to us from the stage.
After their set, strangers were coming up to us to tell us that they loved our energy and how hard we were going for them, which was sweet. Being the largest show on tour, Joe seemed shocked and amazed at the size of the crowd and made little remarks about how he wants to live there.
Shows #4 and #5: October 20th-21st
For the final two shows at The Greek Theatre in LA, I had seats, which was a nice change of pace. Night one and night two were equally as packed, with people even spotted in the trees and on the lawn enjoying the sets. On the 21st, as it was the last show, the guys took a moment to express their gratitude in between songs.
Post Animal had made comments about how much this year has meant to them and how lucky they feel to be touring together. Later, Joe had given a speech about how monumental playing The Greek was. It was a very full-circle moment for Djo and Post Animal, as it was for my friends and I.
Djo’s Another Bite Tour coming to an end felt very bittersweet for multiple reasons. I felt extremely lucky to celebrate two of my favorite bands, who work so effortlessly with one another, with the friends that I met because of them. Despite all the traveling and sleepless nights, it was a beautiful experience that I wouldn’t take for granted. I encourage anyone who is hesitant about following a tour to bite the bullet and go for it.
